Cabbage and Sausage

1 large head Cabbage
2 medium died onion (can be diced fairly large)
1 lb. chopped browned GAPS legal Bacon
3 cups Bone Broth
1/4-1/2 cup Bacon Fat (use fat leftover from bacon)
2 teasp. Sea Salt
1/4 teasp. ground Pepper
3-4 minced cloves Garlic
8 GAPS legal sausages (sliced into bite size peices)

Brown chopped bacon in frying pan.  (Chopping to reasonable bite size pieces.)
Strain the fat from bacon into large fry pan.
Add onion to bacon fat and saute for 10 minutes on low-medium heat.
Add cabbage, broth and spices to onion mixture and simmer together on medium heat until cabbage is tender, about 30 minutes.
Fold in sausages and bacon and let simmer 10 more minutes on low.

Serve with a Tbsp. of butter on each serving.
