Liquid Laundry Soap

1 1/2 cups Borax
1 1/2 cups Washing Soda
1 1/2 cups Dr. Bonner’s Liquid Castille Soap
15-20 drops Essential Oil (optional)
20 cups Water

Bring 8 cups of water to slight boil.  Turn off burner and add borax and washing soda and stir to dissolve.
In a large 2 gallon bucket combine remaining 12 cups of room temperature water and 1 1/2 cups of Dr. Bonner’s Liquid soap and 15-20 drops of essential oil (optional).
Pout hot borax/soda mixture into bucket and stir mixture together.
Store in a glass container.  If gel forms stir or shake.
The gel will dissolve in water  of the washing machine.
I use a 1/4 – 1/2 cup per load of laundry.

Note:  Can apply soap directly to stubborn stains.
